Life often feels like an obstacle course, testing you with change, conflict, and uncertainty. This can leave you feeling worn, battered, and disconnected from your source. Unpacking and exploring these difficulties through writing illuminates unseen jewels of wisdom that can turn a challenging situation into one of learning, growth, and possibility.
This one-day workshop focuses on the art of self-inquiry to reimagine obstacles as doorways of insight and opportunity. By exploring your narratives around challenging experiences, you’ll discover that the solutions to problems are often found within the problems themselves. Mark will guide you through a series of writing explorations that will ask you to look at adversity in a new way using his Writing to Awaken method of self-inquiry. This work based on ancient philosophical and spiritual traditions, will provide you with an ongoing practice that can improve the quality of your life immeasurably.
“Mark is an insightful teacher whose skill with the written word is outmatched only by his skill with the human soul. I did not know him before this course, but the feedback I received was more like something from an old dear friend – clear, kind and direct. His ability to see into the heart of the story and the emotions behind it were uncanny I could not recommend it highly enough.”
~Pascale, Engineer
In a judgement-free atmosphere of mutual support, encouragement, and fun, you’ll explore deep, provocative questions. Mark will offer one-on-one feedback and provide personalized prompts for deepening your inquiry and writing practice, in addition to guiding group conversation.
