I had the best time last weekend at Old Stone Farm. Sherry Kahn has created an amazing cultural think tank at her retreat center in Rhinebeck, New York, hosting teachers from around the world (Eckhart Tolle, Carolyn Myss, and others). Last week’s crew was mostly artists and entrepreneurs. I enjoyed spending time with Murray Bruce, a Scottish-born documentary director (and co-owner of the historic Ramscale Studios in New York); theatrical producer Barbara Ligeti (who brought Billy Hayes, the author of “Midnight Express”); Dolores Barclay, former Arts Editor for the Associated Press and now a professor at Columbia; and a number of other authors and healers. Old Stone Farm is stunning – being there is like beauty therapy. When you’re not feeding the horses, or getting a massage, or eating a great meal, you’re tramping around the 230-acre spread, feeling like you died and went to heaven. I’m excited about teaching my first workshop at Old Stone Farm from December 5-8 – “When You’re Falling, Dive: Thriving in Adversity” and encourage you to check out the course info here.
