I wrote a piece called The Power of Solitude for the Seekers Forum column in Contemplative Journal this month.  One summer many years ago, I retreated to a cabin in the woods, hoping to channel the spirit of Henry David Thoreau.  Although the experiment was a disaster, I learned an important lesson about solitude and why it truly matters.
